Matching You with the Right Contact Lenses
Contact lenses can be an excellent alternative to glasses. They allow you to enjoy the same vision correction you’ve become accustomed to, with additional benefits.
Specialty contacts like scleral lenses can be a good option if issues like dry eye and keratoconus have prevented you from comfortably wearing contact lenses in the past. Whether you’re a first-time wearer or looking to update your prescription, our team is here to help you get the right fit.
We offer comprehensive contact lens exams, fittings, and specialty lenses to address your visual needs. Contact us to schedule your appointment today!
Book AppointmentFitting Your Contact Lenses
Before prescribing your contact lenses, our team walks you through a fitting. During your fitting, we take various measurements to find the right lens type and fit. We also teach you how to insert, remove, and care for your contacts.
Our team works closely with you to determine what types of lenses can help with your current eye care needs.
Are Contact Lenses Right for You?
Like glasses, contact lenses correct refractive errors such as myopia, hyperopia, presbyopia, and astigmatism. We also offer various specialty contacts, like scleral lenses, to manage eye conditions like dry eye and keratoconus. We will review your lifestyle and preferences during your exam to help you find comfortable contact lenses.
Contact Lenses We Offer
Contact lenses typically fall into 2 categories: soft and rigid gas-permeable (RGP). Specialty lenses are also sorted into these categories. We offer several lens types to help address various vision issues.
Our team is more than happy to answer any questions or concerns you may have about your new lenses.
Scleral Contact Lenses
Scleral lenses are RGP lenses that sit on the sclera (white of your eyes), unlike traditional contacts that rest directly on your cornea.
Scleral contacts can be an excellent option for patients who have trouble wearing contacts because of eye conditions like dry eye and keratoconus. They are wider than traditional lenses, vaulting over the cornea to create a fluid reservoir. Sclerals can provide extra breathability, comfort, and hydration.
Our practice features the Europa scleral lens fitting set, which helps us get a precise, safe fit for your scleral lenses.
Toric Contact Lenses
Toric contact lenses are specialty lenses designed for people with astigmatism. These lenses contain different corrective powers throughout the lens to allow you to see clearly in both horizontal and vertical directions.
Multifocal Contact Lenses
Multifocal contact lenses contain multiple prescriptions to correct multiple vision issues in one lens. They’re often recommended for those with presbyopia and other refractive errors, like hyperopia or myopia.
With multiple prescriptions in a single lens, you can comfortably switch between activities, such as reading or driving, without changing your contacts.
What Is Keratoconus?
Keratoconus is a condition that affects the structure of the cornea, leading to a cone-shaped deformation.
This can result in blurred vision, glare, and sensitivity to light. The exact cause of keratoconus isn’t clear, but it may be linked to genetic factors, chronic eye rubbing, or other underlying health conditions.
Scleral Lenses & Keratoconus
Scleral lenses, which can be more stable and comfortable than traditional lenses, can be a good option for patients with keratoconus.
We use the Europa scleral lens fitting set to assist with the process. It allows our team to measure and analyze the unique contours of your eye so that we can get the right fit for your lenses.
